CHOps is built and maintained by the engineering team at Quantrail, a group of software developers and ClickHouse® database administrators who work with ClickHouse® clusters in production every day.

We built CHOps because we needed it ourselves. We spent years switching between the ClickHouse® database CLI, custom dashboards, scripts, and spreadsheets to manage our databases. Existing UI tools either covered only a fraction of what we needed or had gone stale. We wanted one tool that covered the full lifecycle, built by people who understand ClickHouse® database internals.

Every feature in CHOps started as a real problem we faced in production. The query profiler exists because we needed to debug slow queries at 2 AM. The audit log exists because a compliance team asked who changed what and when. Scheduled reports exist because a CTO wanted a weekly summary without learning SQL. AI-powered SQL generation exists because not everyone on the team writes ClickHouse® database queries daily, but everyone needs answers from the data.

CHOps is actively developed. We ship updates, fix bugs, and add features based on what we and our users encounter in real ClickHouse® database environments.
